About

Hi, my name is Akeel. I’m a Mobile Media Strategist and Wireless Marketing Director at CUnet – a Leading Interactive Marketing firm in the EDU space.

I have been intimately involved in all aspects of Mobile Marketing and Mobile Advertising as a Creative and Marketing Director since the opening of the SMS Gateways by the US Carriers in 2004. I had the privilege throughout the past six years to create, launch, test, and optimize various mobile programs and hundreds of multimedia advertising direct response campaigns on TV, Print, Radio, and Web utilizing SMS, Premium SMS, WAP, WAP Billing, and other mobile technologies.

I’m also an Interactive Multimedia Designer experienced with Flash AS3, and Adobe CS4 – AfterEffects, Premire, and Photoshop. Check out my portfolio at portfolio.akeelhaider.com

Other work

  • Created my first computer program and motion graphics project in 1986 on an MSX Machine with a 128KB RAM
  • Worked as graphic designer and Windows NT Network Engineer in East Africa
  • Co-founded Wikiraqi.com in 2006 – a bilingual [Arabic/English] wiki site dedicated to the documentation of Iraqi Arabic Local Language proverbs and words
  • Technology contributor and active member of EUUSA
  • Taught Adobe Production Studio at George Mason University Media Lab
